Louis Michel visits West Africa
Louis Michel, European Commissioner for development and humanitarian aid, visited Senegal, Guinea Conakry and Mauritania from 25 to 27 October to address development cooperation and migration issues. The link between migration and development aid was the focus of discussions with the Heads of State and Government of the three countries.

GUINEA: EU assessment of government questioned

4th Conference Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and European Development Research Network (EUDN) on the topic “Migration and development: Mutual benefits?” Paris, 8 November 2006.

The conference aimed at promoting a constructive dialogue between academic research and operational expertise, in order to exchange views on this topic and explore lessons and perspectives for ODA policies.
