The Angolan ambassador accredited in Ethiopia and in the African Union (AU), Manuel Augusto, arrived this Wednesday, the 1st of October 2008, in Brussels (Belgium), to represent the country at a meeting which will analyse the implementation rate of the plan of peace and security of the African Union says AllAfrica.
According to a press release from Angola’s Embassy in Belgium, the meeting shall be between AU’s Peace and Security Council and the Peace and Security Committee of the European Union.
At the meeting, the delegations will also analyse AU’s peace operations and the implementation of the African standby force.
The current situation of Sudan, Mauritania and Zimbabwe are also on agenda.The next meeting will be held in November in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
