For the first time in Europe, sub-Saharan African and European policy-makers and ICT research organisations are being brought together in Europe. Funded under the EU’s 7th Framework Programme (FP7), the 1st EURO-AFRICA Cooperation Forum aims to expand the dialogue between European, and sub-Saharan African ICT research communities and the authorities of the concerned regions.
This Forum will offer attendees the possibility to: network with key stakeholders in the field (private and pu blic); identify potential cooperation partners; learn more about the “EU-AU Partnership on Science, ICT and Space” and the EC/AUC Programmes; get detailed information on the EU’s 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) and opportunities to enhance African participation in FP7; learn more about successful EU-African cooperation projects; get feedback and lessons learnt from EU-African PPP (Public-Private Partnerships). Registrations (free of charge) and a “Call for Communications” (closing on January 31, 2009) are open.
