The second international two-day policy summit (29-30.04.09 ) “Outlook Africa: Investing in Africa’s Growth and Health” will focus international policymakers’ thinking exclusively on the African continent.
The impact of the global financial turmoil on the continent will be in the spotlight of the opening session. The changing EU-Africa relations will be discussed during a dinner debate following the opening session. The three working sessions of the second day of the conference will in depth analyse the trade and investment opportunities, good governance and improved coordination of international aid efforts, and unquestionably will debate the healthcare challenges that Africa is combating against.
EU Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid Louis Michel will give a keynote address at the Opening Session of the summit on Wednesday, April 29 at the Bibliothèque Solvay.
