During the 12th Africa-EU Ministerial Troika, held in Luxembourg on 28 April 2009, the draft Joint Roadmaps were submitted as living documents and as the basis of further work.
The roadmaps were in respect of all the Africa-EU Partnerships (Peace and Security, Democratic Governance and Human Rights, Trade, Regional Integration and Infrastructure, Millennium Development Goals, Energy, Climate Change, Science, Information Society and Space), except the draft roadmap regarding the Partnership of Migration, Mobility and Employment which was not included as it could not yet be endorsed by the respective Joint Expert Group.
In addition, the document provides information on the current situation and objectives for energy in Africa and Europe under the auspices of the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) which is one of the 8 partnerships of the JAES. It highlights priority actions for the short, medium and long term in order to achieve the Partnership objectives.
