A workshop on the subject of the Africa-EU Partnership on Migration, Mobility and Employment (State and non-State actors) will take place on 4 June 2009.
It is organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and with the support of the Government of Spain and the European Commission.
The day’s agenda will be divided into a morning and afternoon session, with the first session (9:30am) dedicated to an update and analysis of the current implementation status of the EU-AU partnership and the Action Plan, with an opportunity for debate and discussion amongst participants; while the afternoon session (1:00pm) will address how non-institutional actors can play an active role in the implementation of the Partnership in light of recent global economic developments.
