The next Ordinary Sessions of the decision-making organs of the African Union will take place in Sirte, Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.
The decision was taken on Monday 18 May 2009, during the meeting of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC) at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The 13 th AU Summit will hold according to the following schedule:
Dates of the 13th Summit:
1. 24-26 June 2009: 18th Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representatives Committee.
2. 28 – 30 June 2009: 15th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council.
3. 1 – 3 July 2009: 13th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of African Union.
Venue of the 13th Summit:
Sirte, Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.
Theme of the 13th Summit:
The theme of the 13th Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit of Heads of State and Government is: “Investing in Agriculture for Economic Growth and Food Security” .
