International conference ACP-EU Energy Facility: Energising the ACP countries
November 4, 2009On the 4 November 2009, the European Commission is hosting a conference with about 170 participants from ACP countries, EU Member States, international organisations, NGOs and private sector representatives. The aim is to present the results of the first Call for Proposals – with a special focus on three awarded projects (Central African region, Dominican Republic, Vanuatu) – and to announce the launch of the second Energy Facility. EU-Africa Energy Partnership: first concrete actions decided in Addis
September 9, 2008A high level discussion between the African Union and the European Commission on the implementation of the Africa – EU Energy Partnership, opened on Monday, 8 September 2008 at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The European delegation at the high level meeting was led by Mr. Louis Michel, European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid and Mr. Andris Piebalgs, European Commissioner for Energy.
