Action Plan on Trade
Enhanced trade and deeper regional integration are essential contributions todevelopment, economic growth and employment, and ultimately the eradication of poverty. Further efforts shall be made in particular to enhance the African integration agendas, both at the regional and Pan-African levels, and to strengthen African capacities to meet rules, standards and quality requirements which are essential to enable effective access to regional and international markets. Africa has adopted socio-economic and political integration as a key development strategy. The EU and Africa are determined to remove all obstacles to market access.
Early Deliverables for this partnership
There are four activities such as supporting the african integration agenda, implementation of the infrastructure partnership, activties in the fields of rules and standards and in the area of customs, statistical harmonization and regional and cross-border cooperation. Read more ……….
Draft Roadmap for the Trade, Regional Integration and Infrastructure Partnership
The draft for for the implementation of the 1st Action Plan (2008-2010) of the Joint Africa-EU Strategy was presented at the 12th Africa-EU Ministerial Troika in Luxembourg, 28 April 2009. Agreed priority actions on the agenda include:
