The Trilateral Partnership: EU-China-Africa

In the framework of the upcoming event on the finalisation of the trilateral partnership between the European Union, China and Africa planed by DG Development Commissioner, Louis Michel, this month, it is worth looking again at some views on China from an African perspective. In addition, the European Commission is launching a new communication ‘The EU, Africa and China: Towards a trilateral dialogue and a cooperation on peace, stability and sustainable development in Africa” that should be finalized at the end of this year.

The House of Commons has called for new papers on China and DFID and the effectiveness of the UK Government’s strategy to engage with China on international development, especially on Africa, climate change, sustainable development, poverty reduction and energy security.
