Given the neo-liberal character of Nepad, and the Africanist approach of the AU, how do African leaders intend to reconcile the two ideologies? Should the “colonisers” lose control of Nepad, will they continue to support it? By promoting extra-regional economic relations, is Nepad not hampering efforts by the AU towards regional integration?
