CONCORD publishes its recommendations for the review of the Joint Africa-EU Strategy

Based on its experience and analysis with regard to the Joint Africa-EU Strategy (JAES) process that it has followed from the outset, CONCORD EU-Africa Group presents in this document concrete recommendations on the way forward. The three overall recommendations contained in this publication are as follows: 1- policy dialogue between the EU and AU should be the main objective of the strategy; 2- JAES should be conducive to policy coherence for development; and 3- supporting civil society initiatives is at the core of a People-Centred Partnership.
