VENRO Civil society plays an important role in the Joint Africa-EU Strategy. The aim is to create a partnership at eye level that reaches the people of both continents.
However, what has really been achieved since the adoption of the Strategy in Lisbon three years ago? Is the Strategy a suitable instrument to strengthen a partnership between Africa and Europe? Is there a common Africa policy within the EU? And who are the important European and African actors?
These and other questions will be addressed at the International Conference, to be held by VENRO, Forum Environment and Development and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Berlin, Germany on the 15th November.
