AU The 46th meeting of the Panel of Eminent Persons of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) takes place from 13 to 14 January 2011 in Johannesburg, South Africa, one month following the meeting held in the same city from 12 to 13 December 2010.
Mr. Masenyani Richard Baloyi, South Africa’s Minister of Public Service and Administration, who is also the APRM Focal point, will participate in this meeting, as well as in the meeting to be held on 15 January 2011 to mobilize Focal points from South Africa, Lesotho, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
Apart from presentation and consideration of the 2010 Report of the APRM Secretariat, the 46th Panel meeting will seek to fine-tune the Secretariat’s preparation for the 14th Forum of Heads of State and Government slated for 29 January 2011 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the fringes of the 16th African Union Summit on “Towards Greater Unity and Integration through Shared Values”.
A 47th Panel meeting will be organized two days prior to the 14th Forum, from 26 to 27 January 2011 in Addis Ababa.
The APR Forum is chaired by His Excellency Mr. Meles Zenawi, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Ethiopia’s Country Review Report on democracy and political governance, and corporate and socio-economic development governance will be presented and discussed at the Addis Ababa Forum.

- The African Peer Review Mechanism will be organizing a quiz during the 16th African Union Summit.
